Edwyna’s Fight for Pain-Free Days

My name is Edwyna Greenawalt and I am a disabled senior citizen. The purpose of me creating this fundraiser page is to raise money for much needed medical treatment for myself. A chronic pain patient, and the treatments I require not covered by my insurance, are expensive at $3,000 each. The pain I have is extremely severe, due to neck surgery. My neck was rebuilt at UCSD hospital San Diego, with extensive amounts of hardware (10 screws, rods, plates, pins, and cages), being installed to fuse from C-4 through T-1. In addition must have future surgery on the C-2/3 level to fuse the entire cervical spine. It is shifting and collapsing. Pain feels like ice picks and swords being being thrust into my head. I was an F 18 aircraft sheet metal mechanic, worked at the Navel Air Station and the private sector in San Diego for many years. Basically, just overworked myself, with eight surgeries on my spine total. The next will be number nine. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve America in the capacity of giving my mechanical talents to help protect and defend this country. Also, I’m grateful for this public forum to share my story to help with my medical expenses. Your response is greatly appreciated. Thanks for everything and God Bless America. The attached photo is me working on an F 18 at North Island Naval Station Coronado in 2003.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
