Hello, everyone! My name is Charlie and I was a happy, very energetic 3-month-old Miniature Schnauzer puppy up until last week. All of the sudden, I had no energy and didn’t feel good at all. My owners took me to the vet right away.
The vet took blood and diagnosed me with a congenital liver shunt. They told my owners that my little liver is not functioning properly to rid my body of toxins, as it should. The toxin buildup is causing me to feel weak, lethargic, and can lead to neurological issues, if untreated.
I am back with my breeder now, in hopes of getting healthy and returning to my owners. In order for me to feel better, and to fix this issue, I have to have surgery. 🙁
Because this isn’t a regular procedure, I have to go to a Specialty Clinic. My breeder and my owners want to give me the best chance to live a long, healthy life. Unfortunately, my surgery could lost over $10K.
We are asking for any contributions to help lessen the out-of-pocket cost of my life saving surgery. We thank you for any donations that will help me get better.
