Legend the Lab’s Journey – Help Me Keep Chasing My Frisbee!
Hi, my name is Legend — I was named after the “Legend” on a nautical chart because my dad loves boating and the water. It’s a name that fits, because I’ve had a life full of epic adventures.
Over the past five years, I’ve traveled to 48 states with my dad in his truck, boated across the Gulf Coast of Florida, fished with my family, and run free on beaches across the country. I’ve been lucky to live a life surrounded by love, joy, and my favorite thing in the world — chasing my frisbee.
But my journey hasn’t always been easy.
When I was just two, I got Lyme disease and nearly didn’t make it. With the help of my family and their amazing friends, I pulled through. Now, just before my birthday, I’ve been diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on my eyelid — and the doctors have discovered it’s starting to spread to my lymph nodes.
Here’s the good news:
The doctors at the University of Florida say it can be removed!
With surgery, I can keep living my best life with my family!
But… I need your help.
