Father of four adult children and three adopted children under the age of twelve. In February 2025, I went to the ER for stomach pain and was scheduled for immediate surgery to remove my appendix. It was discovered at that time I had stage 4 carcinoma of the liver. At that time, I had insurance coverage. My company subsequently changed hands, and I was switched to health insurance that refused to cover my treatments, incurring significant medical bills. I am asking for assistance with the cost of life-sustaining treatments which are effective – the cancer is responding well. However, the prognosis for my illness, cholangiocarcinoma, is poor and has no cure. All treatments are palliative in nature, meaning they can only temporarily prolong my life and maintain its quality.
