Hello, everyone!
My name is Geraldine, and I am 45 years old. I am a solo parent to a 15-year-old. I was recently diagnosed with stage 1c ovarian cancer and will be starting chemotherapy this month. In addition to my cancer diagnosis, I also have Parkinson’s disease.
When I received the news, everything came to a halt. I thought I could finally focus on building a better future for both my daughter and myself. This journey is new to me. At first, I was hesitant to undergo chemotherapy because I need to work to support our food, rent, and bills. However, I was afraid of the consequences of not treating the cancer, so I decided to go through with the chemotherapy.
I am hopeful that, with God’s will, I can survive and continue my life with my daughter.
