Hello, my mother, Jonilee, is in need of assistance. She needs multiple surgeries beginning with a total hip replacement. Her co-pays and deductible are preventing her from getting the care she desperately needs.
She has severe pain in her back, both knees (also needing replacement), and hip. She has been living with these ailments for years as she was told her hip was just going to hurt. Basically, “suck it up.”
She recently got a second opinion from a highly regarded specialist, and he believes he can relieve her pain with a total replacement. However, her insurer requires a deductible for the surgeon, the hospital, and any rehab.
She can’t afford this as she only has a limited Social Security check and no other income. Unfortunately, I’ve exhausted my finances on previous medical bills for both of us as I too have health issues.
Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated. Again, this is the beginning of her journey that will hopefully greatly improve her quality of life and ease her debilitating pain.
