If you are able to read and show support for Aipopo Milly, our family would very much appreciate it ❤️ she’s been dealing with a sudden critical illness and has a long road to a new normal.
For two months (October-November 2024) Emily’s sickness was a mystery. She was severely fatigued and found herself in the urgent care multiple times. She could barely stand for 5 minutes and was bed bound for much of those months. In mid-December, she was again in the urgent care when she received some life changing news. They found a large mass in her colon and found that Emily has Stage 4 Metastatic colon cancer, that spread to her liver. Within hours she was in surgery to remove the mass, she underwent a colectomy and the surgeon was able to remove the tumor. She had been actively bleeding for months, causing her extreme fatigue. We brought her home on Christmas and started her recovery.
She had a rough recovery from her surgery and has also started her chemotherapy treatment, to hopefully shrink the spots on her liver. With her new physical challenges, she stepped down at work as she navigates her new reality. Through it all, she’s been positive and hopeful for her future. Ready to kick cancers ass! After two rounds of chemo, we’re hopeful for her to find comfortable days and some consistency in her routine. She’s faced quite a few complications so far and we know how hard this road will be for her.
If you’re able to donate or support by sharing the post, our family would be forever grateful ❤️ the donations will be going towards medical bills and easing her financial stress as she continues to find her rhythm in her new life.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out already and been keeping Emily in their thoughts + prayers. She’s a young 32 ❤️ and we’re hopeful for her recovery!❤️
