I’m Colt, a volunteer for Bat Cave Disaster Relief. I’ve been volunteering since Hurricane Helene destroyed our area on September 27th, 2024. We operate completely out of pocket and rely on donations to support our local operations.
On February 6th, while clearing a debris field in Chimney Rock, NC, an excavator dropped a tree on my ankle, severely injuring me. On February 18th, I had surgery to reattach the broken bone. They inserted two large screws into my ankle. The recovery has been painful but fortunately very successful. I’m now back to volunteer work, but I need help covering my medical bills and expenses from this accident!
Thank you and God bless
