hey, I’m Madison and I have been at UAB hospital for two weeks, on dialysis for one week, and now in two days they will be amputating my left leg just above the knee. I am on SSI, which is just a a very small drop in the bucket compared to what I really need right now. Yesterday I had a heart catheter put in so I can do long-term dialysis due to the fact that my kidneys are failing/have failed. I am in desperate need of basic things like clothes, toiletries, and lots of other day to day needed items. This was a very unexpected and everything’s kind of crashing down on me at once but if you can help at all, I would greatly appreciate it. I don’t think it has hit me yet the severity of the situation and how long-term it’s going to be, but I know my prosthesis will not be covered by my health insurance so please just help help anyway you can thank you so much.
