Hi, my name is Jeannie, and I’m raising funds for my parents during an incredibly difficult time. My dad, Carson—lovingly known to his grandson as “Grumpy”—is currently in hospice care at home. Our family is doing everything we can to keep him comfortable and surrounded by love.
This has been a deeply emotional and financially overwhelming experience. While we’re grateful to have him at home, the costs of caregiving, medical supplies, and the ongoing strain of this journey have placed a heavy burden on us during an already heartbreaking time.
My mom, Judy, has been by his side day and night for over 10 years, just as she’s been for the 44 years they’ve been married. Their love and devotion to each other is something truly special, and my sister and I are doing all we can to support them both—but we need help.
My parents are the kind of people who never show when they’re in need. They’ve always carried their burdens quietly and put others first without ever asking for anything. That’s why I’m asking on their behalf—because right now, they truly deserve all the love and support we can offer.
Carson is a proud Chicago sports fan through and through—he loves his Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls. No matter what life threw at him, cheering on his teams always brought him joy and connection. It’s those simple passions that remind us just how strong and full of heart he really is.
Any amount you can give will go directly toward:
• Home health care and hospice support
• Medical supplies and equipment
• Household bills and basic living needs
• Giving Carson the dignity and comfort he deserves in his final days
If you’re not able to donate, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to help. Every act of kindness truly makes a difference.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you.
— Jeannie
