I’m reaching out on behalf of my bestfriend’s family and Mama Nene who is going through a difficult time right now. We’re setting up this fundraiser to help support them with medical bills.
Here’s their story.
Hello, dear friends and family.
This message comes with a heavy heart, but also with hope and gratitude for the support we’ve received and continue to seek.
My mother, Elenita “Nene” Nemenzo Cupal, a beloved single mother, has been our unwavering pillar of strength. She raised my brother and me with boundless love and dedication, and has been a second mother to many of our friends.
In June 2024, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She courageously completed 8 cycles of chemotherapy, followed by a double mastectomy (removal of both breasts) on March 19, 2025, from which we had hoped for a steady recovery.
However, on May 5, 2025, she had an accident at home, falling two flights of stairs. Though she didn’t break any bones, a CT scan revealed that the cancer had spread to her brain, advancing to stage 4.
This news has been devastating for us. For the past year, my brother, I, and our relatives have managed her treatment costs through our savings and assistance from government agencies. But expenses continue to rise, and we’ve exhausted our resources.
We are now reaching out to you, our extended family and friends, for support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help us provide the care she needs:
