I’m raising funds to help my dear friend Rhonda, a 100% service-connected disabled veteran, cope with the sudden and heartbreaking loss of her beloved Veteran’s Administration-assigned service dog, Leo.
Leo recently underwent an emergency surgery costing over $7,000 in an attempt to save his life. Tragically, he passed away on the operating table. The loss is devastating, both emotionally and financially. Leo was more than a pet. He was Rhonda’s lifeline, her daily support, her guardian, and her peace.
Rhonda now faces overwhelming veterinary debt and hopes to give Leo the dignified burial he deserves on the land he protected, at the home they shared.
As a disabled veteran living on a fixed income, Rhonda is not financially prepared to undertake the medical expenses, transportation of Leo’s remains, or the cost of laying him to rest with honor.
We are asking for your support to raise $8,000 to help cover:
- Emergency veterinary bills
- Transportation of Leo’s remains
- Burial on Rhonda’s property
- A modest memorial to honor his life and service
Thank you in advance consideration on this matter and your support.
