Ashton’s Health Crisis: A Call for Help

My brother Ashton is a young, hardworking soul with a huge heart and even bigger dreams. He’s been pursuing a career as an EMT, driven by a deep desire to help others and make a difference in the world. To be able to afford going to school full-time, he also works two jobs. He’s never worked so hard for anything in his life—and just as everything was finally coming together, it all came to a halt.

On Mother’s Day, after battling a mysterious illness for over a week, Ashton was rushed to the hospital. What followed was one of the scariest weeks of our lives. Doctors feared the worst: leukemia. Hearing that your baby brother might have cancer is something I can’t put into words. It shattered us.

After a whirlwind of continued tests and uncertainty, the diagnosis came back. Ashton had severe mononucleosis that led to sepsis, an enlarged spleen and liver, and the infection was mimicking leukemia in his bloodwork. Recently, his blood tests are still showing signs of cancer, so he now has to go back to the oncologist to figure out why his body is not healing as it should be.

He has been put off work for a projected three months and has strict orders from his doctors not to lift more than two pounds.

He was medically dropped from EMT school the day before his final due to his illness, and now has to pay for everything out of pocket again all while not being able to go back to work. His grant has expired since the two years are over, and it’s possible he won’t qualify for another.

Ashton is proud and rarely asks for help—but today, I’m asking for him. I’m also asking on behalf of our mom, who has been doing everything she can to support him physically, emotionally, and financially. Right now, I’m the only one with an income for our household, and the medical bills, car insurance, and daily expenses are starting to pile up.

We’re asking for anything you can offer—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign. Your support means the world to us. It’s our hope to get through this chapter and give Ashton the space to fully heal and eventually return to the future he’s worked so hard to build.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us. ❤️

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
