Hi, my name is Pedro and I’m Amanda’s husband. If you can, please help us paying the medical bill that contemplates hospital admission, medicine, several exams (including ct scan with contrast), and surgery. We are a couple of artists and would be more than happy to compensate your help if it’s in our possibilities to help you with that (music and ceramics).
Early on Saturday morning, Amanda started to feel intense abdominal pain and thought it was just cramps as usual. So she took over the counter pain medicine and it didn’t go away. So in the afternoon we went to the urgent care and the nurse thought it was gastritis and administered a cocktail of medicine which didn’t work. So in the evening the pain started to get more aggressive and we went to emergency room.
Amanda did several blood and urine tests, and a ct abdominal/pelvic exam with contrast so they conclude it was appendicitis. They came and told us she had to be admitted to the hospital and be submitted to surgery. It was a long night under morphine IV.
The surgery took place around 9 AM on Sunday after more than 24h enduring horrible pain but it was clean (appendectomy laparoscopic) – didn’t happened any infection or any sort of complications, besides an anesthesia minor complication. We left the hospital at 1 PM on Sunday and now I’m taking care of her, administering medicine, helping her bathing and everything else – something I would do a million times to see her well. I’m hoping for the best.
If you can, please help us paying the hospital bill because we are foreign folks living away from the support of our families and do not have health insurance (because we are always healthy and never imagined something like this to happen, but this is going to change now). And you know how the American health system is.
Thank you so so much!!!! Any help is much appreciated.
yours,
Pedro
