Hi everyone,
My name is Yuliana (Julie), and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my partner Michael Jagnath (Mike), a devoted father of two beautiful girls who was recently involved in a life-altering car accident.
On June 01, 2025, a deer jumped in front of and made impact with his vehicle. The location of impact caused the driver’s door to become jammed. So, when every airbag deployed, he became trapped in the smoke-filled vehicle. The deployment of the steering wheel airbag pushed Mike’s hand backward causing the webbing between his Thumb and Index finger to instantly rip open. Eventually Mike managed to crawl out onto the highway and await help.
The accident has left Mike with serious life and career altering injuries. Mike currently has a Broken Arm, Broken fingers, Lacerations requiring stitches and Ruptured Tendons and ongoing severe nerve bone and soft tissue pain.
Mike’s daughter’s Mileena 7 and Scarlett 5 are his world. As a result of this accident, he will be unable to work and provide for his girls the way he aspires to. Recovery will take months, or longer as we are still awaiting the Dr’s Decision on if he will need surgery to reset his broken bones and repair torn tendons. Mike’s vehicle was totaled so seeing his girls has become more challenging. In the meantime, medical bills, loss of wages and the financial needs for daily cost of living continue to grow.
Mike is a contractor by trade so even when he can return to work, his abilities will be permanently affected. There is no paid time off or short-term disability available to him.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Emergency medical care and ongoing treatment
• Physical therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Rehabilitation
• Rent, utilities, and basic living expenses while he is unable to work.
• Assistance with the replacement of his totaled vehicle
Those of you who know Mike know he embodies the meaning of Community and Friendship. He is always ready to help his friends and family. He is diligent and hard working. He never asks for help himself, so I am asking on his behalf. Right now, he truly needs his community to lift him up.
