Aid Ken Starr’s Journey to Health

Financial Help Needed

Hi everyone,

As most of y’all know, my Dad(Ken Starr) has been having health issues for some time now.

On April 10th, 2020 he had a stroke that set my parents back financially; the medical bills and my dad not being able to work wiped out their savings. They were getting on track with finances, but May 1st 2025, my dad underwent quadruple bypass surgery, and while we’re incredibly grateful he’s alive and recovering, the financial burden has been overwhelming for my parents. Due to physical limitations of his stroke, he accepted a job at the DMV 2 years ago. My Dad(Ken)worked extremely hard with physical therapy and has been blessed to be able to get back into a position to sell and install window coverings part time with my mom(Sharon’s) help.

Per doctor’s orders, he can not work for the next 3-6 months, minimum, while his chest and heart heals from the surgery. They are doing everything they can, but could really use your help. Anything helps. Whether it’s a small donation, a share, or just a few kind words, it means the world to us right now.

Please share this with your friends, family, or anyone who might be able to help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support during this time.

With gratitude and love,

Jodie Alfaro & Ken and Sharon Starr

P.S. My Dad (Ken) had a checkup and the doctors are extremely happy with his recovery so far.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
