Unfortunately a parents worst nightmare has unfolded. My son has been in the hospital since June 5th and is still dealing with an ongoing hospitalization. It started as a painful limp for DJ and progressed to several test and then being moved to PICU for serious concerns for his health (including needing emergency intervention, finding pneumonia in his lungs, etc). On today June 14th he is still awaiting test results to determine a course of action, thankfully he has been downgraded to a regular hospital room. I, his mom, have been by his side for the entire ordeal. My job is not in jeopardy but I am not receiving pay for my time away from work. On top of this I have two little ones at home that my husband is caring for with the help of my parents. He too is missing some work as he tries to support us all. God has been merciful and we are truly grateful.
The situation is hitting us financially as you can imagine and we haven’t even calculated the hospital bills yet. If you can find it in your heart to send up a prayer for DJ please do. If you are able to send us financial assistance it would be greatly appreciated. Typically I would never ask for things like this, but this is super new and we have no projected time for which this anll will be over and we anre just trying to stay afloat while aiding my baby back to health! Every gift big or small would help. We are facing an uncertain amount of time that DJ will be hospitalized. It is very stressful in a world where we have to choose between advocating for our baby or go back to work, but I will always choose my children first! Love you guys and thank you for whatever you can do.
