I’m a single Mother, working full time and trying to get my teeth fixed. I have a referral to go to an Endodontist for a root canal, then an estimate to have the crown placed afterwards. The crown is almost $3000 alone. I still need to get an estimate for an appointment with an endodontist and the root canal, which will most likely be $3000 or more. My cleaning is scheduled and will cost $438.
I also have a missing tooth, which I have been missing since I was a kid (thanks Mom and Dad!) and would like to get an implant for. But before I can even get that implant, I need orthodontic work to move the two molars back in to place. They have been shifting and tilting over the years, so there is no space for an implant to even go, and I’m beginning to have jaw pain from those shifting teeth. That’s IF my bone is strong enough to even handle an implant!
I also clench and grind my teeth, so I would really love to get a night guard, which is $650 from the dentist. This will help prevent those teeth from shifting even more and help prevent jaw pain from clenching and grinding my teeth at night.
I was able to get a Dental Savings plan, so I’m only going to go to offices that accept the plan, which will help save 15% to 50% of the procedure cost. SCREW INSURANCE! I have had dental insurance in the past and they never want to pay an appropriate amount! I still ended up having to pay 60% of the bill! I take issue with paying $$$ each month and still having a large bill to take care of.
