Selena Fester is an 18-year-old who has been a cherished part of our lives for over eight years. She and my daughter have grown up together, and Selena has always brought joy and kindness to everyone around her. Recently, Selena was diagnosed with PANDA, a rare and challenging condition that has dramatically changed her life. Before her diagnosis, she endured multiple hospital stays and was even baker acted several times as doctors searched for answers. Now, Selena faces daily seizures and a degenerative nervous condition that has left her reliant on a wheelchair for mobility.
Selena’s family is no longer able to support her, and she is navigating this difficult journey largely on her own. The costs of her medical care, hospitalizations, and the specialized wheelchair she needs have quickly become overwhelming. In addition, Selena requires ongoing assistance and therapy while she waits for her disability status to be recognized by the government—a process that can take months.
We are raising funds to help cover Selena’s medical bills, provide her with the wheelchair and equipment she needs, and ensure she has the support necessary to maintain her quality of life during this uncertain time. Every contribution will go directly toward her care and help give Selena the stability and hope she deserves as she faces these new challenges.
