Hello, I am Chris Chant, best known under the moniker “Hades”. I’ve been dealing with chronic illness over the last few years, but my health has heavily deteriorated since December of 2024. At this point, I suffer from daily headaches and migraines, severe nausea, stomach pain, weakness in my hands, and a slew of other neurological and gut problems. My diet has become heavily restricted, and even things as basic as showering have become a difficult chore. I save what energy I have to work on commissions, freelance, and personal comics but have been unable to keep up a daily schedule or workload larger than an hour of work. I’ve exhausted myself in trying to cover medical expenses, bills, and groceries when I’m unable to properly work.
Recently, I visited with a neurologist who is prescribing multiple medications, physical therapy, and tests such as an MRI of my brain. I also am to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy in August with my gastro doctor. I cannot afford these expenses nor the transportation to the appointments.
I am currently unable to keep up with freelance work or work a typical job due to my symptoms and issues with fatigue. I’m at a point where I have to reach out and ask for help in affording treatment and just everyday life.
