Following a long period of serious and draining illness, Messan was diagnosed with a blood cancer called Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) in August 2024.
MDS are a group of blood cancers in which the bone marrow does not produce enough healthy blood cells.
Right after this diagnosis, Messan started chemotherapy sessions at Kaiser Permanente. After eight months of intense chemotherapy treatments, Messan was admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore on April 23, 2025, for radiation therapy and a bone marrow transplant to replace his bone marrow with a healthy one from a donor. Currently, his condition remains critical with multiple other new health issues and hard challenges to overcome.
Your support will help provide Messan with the care and stability he needs to focus on his treatment, recovery, and ultimately beat this awful illness.
Donations will go directly towards:
– Medical-related expenses not fully covered by insurance
– Everyday bills and living expenses
– Post-treatment care and support
Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and is highly appreciated.
Thank you for your incredible support, prayers, and generosity during this difficult period.
