Story:
On what started as a typical Monday morning in Papillion, NE, our teammate and friend Jodie Maben began his day like he always does—with a positive attitude, a safety toolbox talk, and a deep sense of pride in the work we do. But by mid-morning, Jodie began experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath. As a former EMT and someone who has experienced a heart attack before, he knew something wasn’t right. With clarity and calm, he instructed a team member to call 911—ultimately saving his own life.
Jodie is the Site Lead for our Multi-Skilled Operators and has been a part of the Salute team since February 2019. He’s been a pivotal force in the growth and success of our account, especially in launching operations in Papillion. More than just a hard worker, Jodie is the kind of person who brings ease and positivity into every room. He’s a proud teammate, a dedicated leader, and a proud father to a daughter who just graduated high school.
As we rally around Jodie and his family, we’re starting this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden of this unexpected medical emergency. We are still working to understand the extent of his insurance coverage, and the costs of hospital care, time away from work, and recovery can add up quickly.
All funds raised will go directly toward supporting Jodie’s medical expenses, recovery, and helping ensure he and his daughter are taken care of during this difficult time.
Whether you’re able to donate or share this fundraiser, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Let’s show Jodie just how much his impact—and his heart—means to all of us.
