It’s with a heavy heart I make this request today. Recently and employee of ours, Little Abby, was diagnosed with a very rare cancer called Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma positive with Epstein Barr Virus.
Her doctors are still saying it’s treatable and think it was caught very early. She has been taking everything in stride, day by day. She still has more tests to determine more about what she is dealing with. They were able to get her feeling a little more comfortable so she was able to get outside and enjoy some garden and beep beep time. ( She calls her ducklings beep beeps) But she still has lots of appts and even more coming up now. Wednesday was her last day working at Cross Ties until her treatments are done. We will miss her jumpy silly self but I’m sure she’ll come in from time to time to say hi.
If you cannot donate. Share Share Share! Abby deserve any help she can get in this. Prayers, vibes, good energies. It doesn’t matter, send whatever well wishes you can in her direction please!!!
What was thought to be a tight muscle turned scary quite quickly for her and her family. At only 17 years old, big plans for the future have slammed to a halt. Today, I am requesting monetary assistance for comfort needs for Abby. Not medical bills, because that is going to be a main focus that weighs the heart and soul. I would like to help raise money for the little things. Things that will bring relief in the form of smiles and laughs! Family games, Comfy socks, clothes that make her feel good, snacks for chickens and ducks, you name it! There is also a larger project I would like to support as well. Abby will be getting treatment soon and may not be able to venture onto her farm as much. I hope to contribute some of these funds to a screened in porch with comfy area for her to sit, lay, and watch her babies play in the pond.
*There has been an update, and I am sure more to come! Abby is off for even more testing and they are leaning now toward a complete different cancer…They are trying to determine if it’s this NPC cancer or sinonasal lymphoepithilioma carcinoma cancer which is even more rare than the last one.
She will be having biopsy surgery in the coming weeks where they work with pathology DURING surgery to biopsy stuff and then find out if they take a chunk of lymph node or not. And then probably a second surgery the same week to place port.
