Help My Twin Boys Get Life-Saving Heart Surgery
Hello, my name is Zauria, and I’m the proud new mom of twin baby boys — my two little miracles. What should have been the happiest moment of my life quickly turned into a whirlwind of fear, heartbreak, and uncertainty.
Just 24 hours after giving birth, I was told both of my sons were born with a rare and serious heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot — a combination of four life-threatening heart defects that prevent oxygen from flowing properly through their bodies. As if that wasn’t already overwhelming, one of my boys — Twin B — was also born with missing fingers and genetic mutations we never saw coming during my pregnancy.
At first, we were told they would need heart surgery around six months old. But during a routine check-up, we were given devastating news: their heart condition had worsened, and emergency surgery would now be needed at just two months old. We now have a surgery date scheduled at MUSC in Charleston, and I’m doing everything I can to prepare for this journey.
Because of their medical needs, I’ve had to leave work to care for them full-time. And now, I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support.
