Recently, Waylan’s health challenges have become even more difficult. The medications he relies on have caused significant dental issues, leading to multiple cavities and the urgent need for dental procedures. Because of his special needs, Waylan must be put under anesthesia for dental work, which adds to the complexity and cost. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover all of his medical and dental expenses, leaving us with mounting bills for his neurologist, past procedures, and ongoing medication copays. Dental coverage is also limited, and many of the treatments he needs are not included.
