I have an elderly acquaintance, Francisco, whom I’ve known for a few decades. He lives in Roseville and was a well-known spiritual guitarist in his day. I originally did a post asking for warm leads to a dentist who can help him get a deep cleaning so he can get a needed heart surgery. Then I suddenly got a bunch of requests for a fundraiser so friends can donate to help him beyond this specific need (they really are in extreme financial difficulties). Here’s his story: He is in urgent need of a surgery for an aorta valve TAVR but can’t have it because he needs a dental “deep cleaning for a potential infection” to get a “dentist certificate” showing it’s taken care of because this is what is required for him to get the surgery. They say he can’t have the surgery until he gets the dental certificate, and his insurance only covered the X-rays. The dental procedure is estimated to be $920.
His story is a sad one that is now desperate. They told him he needs this heart surgery ASAP – they told him he needs to get it done within 80 days of being diagnosed with heart failure, but it has been 90 days already, and he can’t afford the dental procedure. This poor man has rheumatoid arthritis in addition to his heart failure, and his wife is struggling with cancer. As it is, they live very meagerly and are financially desperate with medication bills and copays that are beyond what they can afford. He is under stress because he is at risk of heart failure, and that will completely destroy them.
Thank you for trusting me enough to help find a solution for this gentleman. This couple has so many other financially stressful things going on in their lives that at least we can help alleviate this stress. IF YOU WANT TO HELP RAISE MORE THAN THE $920, I can vouch that they are definitely in need of MUCH more just for medical issues alone, not to mention living costs. This fundraiser will be connected directly to HIS bank account, not mine. Again, I can vouch for him as being in dire need.
