The Charlan Family is looking to get a handicap accessible van for Zak. Out current van is over a decade old and constantly breaking down, requiring experience repairs. The trouble began with the transmission blew out at 60000 miles during a road trip. Since then, the transmission has had to be rebuilt four separate times. This is the family’s only vehicle capable of transporting Zak in his power wheelchair. When it’s in the shop-which happens often-Zak is left stranded at home., unable to access the community : school, church, therapy, family outings, or simple times with his grandparents. We’re seeking a newer, reliable wheelchair accessible vehicle because our financial situation has grown increasingly difficult. Nathan was laid off in September 2023 and has been unable to secure enough work to replace his former income. Through it all we,ve experienced the humbling mercy of God’s provision and the kindness of those around us we,re praying, that will help, we can purchase a safe, reliable vehicle so Zak and our family can stay connected to the world around us. And so Zak doesn’t lose the precious freedom and dignity his power chair provides Zak is 18 and has quadriplegia celebral palsy that affects him with several physical developments and intellectual disabilities, but he finds join the simple freedoms many take for granted. Every time our van fails, he loses these moments of joy and independence. Watching his frustration when his stuck at home is heartbreaking. Would you consider being part of Zaks story by helping him get back on the road? Whether through a financial donation or by sharing this campaign, you can make a real difference in Zak,s life. Your support brings freedom, mobility and dignity to a young man who simple wants to be part of the world. From the bottom of our hearts thank you.
