Support Courtney’s Healing Journey
Courtney is working hard to recover from a stroke that dramatically affected her speech, cognition, and energy. While she is unable to return to full time work, please consider donating to ease her financial burden.
On April 22nd, Courtney underwent what was supposed to be a low-risk surgery. Two days later, while she was recovering, she suffered a stroke which affected both hemispheres of her brain—an unexpected and life-altering event. The stroke altered her ability to speak, making communication difficult and deeply frustrating. Just days after the stroke, Courtney began speech and occupational therapy while in the hospital and rehab. She now attends outpatient therapy two to three times a week. On the days she does not have therapy, she is learning to read again and doing writing and math worksheets to help restore her brain.
Courtney is rebuilding her life with strength and determination, but the physical and emotional toll has been heavy. Since the surgery and stroke, Courtney has not been able to work. The recovery process is exhausting — physically, mentally, and financially. That is why we are reaching out for help.
For the next few months as she continues therapy and regains strength, we are raising funds to support Courtney’s basic living expenses—rent, car payment, car insurance, food, taxes, and more. Donations will also help cover transportation to and from medical appointments, allowing her to continue getting the care she needs.
If you can donate, your support will go directly toward these living expenses, easing her financial burden during this critical time in her recovery. Every donation will help, no matter the amount. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and your love for Courtney.
