On the night of June 13th, at just 28 weeks pregnant, my cousin’s water unexpectedly broke. While the cause is unknown, what we do know is that every single day matters right now for her baby boy, Walker.
Miraculously, there have been no signs of contractions, and the goal is to keep Baby Walker growing safely inside her womb for as long as possible — ideally until 34 weeks. Each moment is a milestone. Right now, he’s showing signs of strength, moving actively and reminding everyone that he’s a fighter.
This sudden turn has brought a wave of emotions, stress, and unexpected expenses. From extended hospital stays to time off work, travel, and preparing for the possibility of a NICU journey, their family is doing everything they can to stay strong, focused, and hopeful for Walker’s safe arrival.
Her fiancé, Jacob, has been a rock — caring for her and their little boy with unwavering love and dedication. And their entire support system — friends, family, and the incredible hospital staff — have shown up in amazing ways.
