Hi, my name is Matthew Cooper, and I’m a dedicated student and healthcare worker navigating one of the most challenging seasons of my life.
I was diagnosed with a liver condition that has impacted my health, energy, and daily functioning. Despite the physical and emotional toll, I’m continuing to pursue my dream of becoming a nurse — a dream born from my passion for caring for others, especially during their hardest moments.
As someone who’s spent years working in healthcare, I’ve always poured my heart into helping patients feel seen, safe, and supported. Now, I’m on the other side — needing support myself.
Between medical appointments, treatments, medication, and trying to keep up with school, the financial burden has become overwhelming. I’ve had to cut back on work shifts due to health limitations, and every dollar goes toward either rent, bills, or medical expenses.
This fundraiser will help cover:
• Ongoing liver-related medical expenses
• Transportation to appointments
• School fees, books, and living expenses while I recover and continue my education
