Gracias

In 2021, Oscar, whom we affectionately call Cachín, was diagnosed with advanced cancer, a bone-destroying disease called multiple myeloma. Facing such a diagnosis was devastating. Despite this, Cachín faced it with admirable fortitude, living this time with a great sense of life and hope.

A couple of years before the diagnosis, he had returned to Bolivia to undertake a project for which he had been training and working in Mexico. The project was thwarted by the disease. Since then, his symptoms continued to worsen until the disease caused a crisis in his spine.

After numerous tests, medical evaluations, and surgery, he received a diagnosis. Little by little, the pain was controlled, and he was able to regain mobility and quality of life. With alternative treatments and a conviction to heal, Oscar has coped with the disease with remarkable strength, in a surprising way.

It’s been four years since this painful phase of his life began, four years in which he has maintained a firm conviction, maintaining a very positive attitude in the face of the challenge of living with a complex illness. Four years in which, with therapies, medications, and above all, with the love of his children, family, friends, and therapists, he has gained joy, dreams, and hope. Meanwhile, his body has gradually lost weight, stability, and strength.

Now it’s time to strengthen care, increase therapies and medications to maintain a quality of life that allows him to continue being the father who supports and celebrates his children’s achievements.

We want to ask you to support Cachín together in this difficult time. May distance not be an impediment to supporting him and expressing our affection, love, and deep admiration.

Thank you

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
