Zac’s journey ahead will be long and challenging. He’ll need months of therapy to regain his speech and mobility, and we’re still unsure what his medical needs will be before he can even come home. As his partner, I’ll be his primary caretaker. I’ve worked as a certified nursing assistant for eight years, and I’m also licensed as a PCA and home health aide. I’m grateful for my training, but nothing could have prepared me for seeing someone I love go through this. I’m committed to helping Zac get back to where he was before the accident and being his biggest support every step of the way.
This accident happened while Zac was working his first job with a new business he started with a friend. Unfortunately, they didn’t have insurance for their company yet, so there’s no safety net for lost income or medical costs. Zac won’t be able to work for a long time, and I’m now responsible for everything—rent, food, transportation, and more. I recently lost my savings on a car that turned out to be unreliable, making things even harder. We’re asking for help to cover Zac’s medical bills, therapy, daily living expenses, and the costs of his ongoing care. Any support will make a difference as we navigate this difficult road to recovery together. Thank you for reading our story and for any help you can give.
