My name is Steve James. My grandson, Jexx Hutchins, who is not quite 7 years old, was attacked in his yard by the neighbor’s bulldogs that got out of their yard. Luckily, his mom and other neighbors were able to pull the dogs off of him. He sustained scratches and bruises on his arms and legs and bite marks on his arm that required him to have 12 stitches on Friday, June 13th. He was sent home with pain medications and antibiotics.
Yesterday was stressful as he kept reliving the incident, wanting to know why the dogs attacked him. He woke up this morning with a fever and redness on his arm. He was taken back to Children’s Hospital this morning where he has been admitted. We are unsure what kind of insurance the owners of the dogs have, and now my daughter has to take a leave of absence to care for him while he is in the hospital. We are asking for any donations that you feel are worth it as he is dealing with this very traumatic incident.
