Uncle Michael is a war veteran. He signed up with the Utah National Guard just before 9/11. He served in Iraq, along with several other stations, over 15 years. Our family was raised in a very harsh house where we were not allowed to express or show emotions. He has been suffering from past trauma and CPTSD for about 15 years now. He has not been in a place to be able to afford or ask for help. Last week, he felt he had no other option and tried to end all his pain. Luckily, he was discovered before he could hurt himself, but he is finally ready to get treatment. He has insurance, but his out-of-pocket for inpatient care will be $5,000 plus living expenses while there. If you can help by even a dollar, it would be a blessing to a kind, caring war vet.
