Hello, we are organizing this campaign with our hearts in our hands to help a wonderful woman: Patricia Rodríguez — a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and tireless worker since the age of 16 — who is now facing a serious medical battle.
In February of last year (2024), she suffered a fall while going down some stairs. She was hospitalized for 14 days and diagnosed with a compression fracture of the lumbar vertebrae, a condition that has begun to seriously affect her health.
In June of last year, we made the decision to return to live in Guatemala, our country of origin.
Patricia currently needs:
An adapted 4×4 vehicle with a special seat for people with reduced mobility. This would help reduce the impact of potholes and speed bumps on the roads, which severely damage her spine.
An orthopedic bed.
Walkers and all the necessary equipment to improve her quality of life.
Specialized medical care, exams, CT scans, X-rays, in-home therapy, consultations with specialists, and follow-up care that we cannot fully cover.
