Dear family and friends,
As many of you know, our family member, Joseph DeBenedictis (age 36), was involved in a devastating accident on 5/30/25, when he suffered a heart attack while driving. As a result, his heart stopped beating for at least 6-8 minutes. He needed to be resuscitated by emergency medical personnel on the scene.
Joseph was taken to the hospital where he was placed on a ventilator and put in a medically induced coma due to brain swelling.
Joseph is very strong and he is fighting for his life. We are all very proud of him!
Obviously, he and his wife Robin are facing mounting medical bills while still focusing on his very serious condition. While he has sporadically shown promising signs of responsiveness, Joseph is likely facing many months of recovery and rehabilitation.
We are asking for any donation you can spare to help them with their overwhelming medical expenses.
Robin has not left his side and her wish is to maintain the household and “keep the lights on” until the day Joseph can walk back into their home and return to his beloved wife and the life they have built together.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts as we strive to reach the fundraising goal for Joseph and Robin!
“Our ability to feel compassion and help others in time of need is what makes us human.”
