Hello! My name is Diamond, I’m helping raise money for my mother, Terra. My mother recently had two silent heart attacks from stress, and is battling small intestinal cancer. She’s been battling small intestinal cancer for 4 years, and is also now in stage two heart failure due to these silent heart attacks. Due to being a single mother, and us financially struggling, she has continued to work her high stress job while I am in nursing school to try and give us a better, more brighter future. We struggle week to week, day to day at times, like many others, to survive in hopes that one day we will not be in this position. As I struggle to find more work hours, and pay for school, I want nothing more than to help the beautiful, wonderful woman who has fought for us to have a better life for 20+ years. She was a single mother of 3 children, one who is moved out, while my brother and I attend college for our dream careers. I will be a nurse someday! My mother was a single mom who raised all 3 of us at 20 years old. My brother had behavioral problems, and my sister neurofibromatosis. My mom constantly tried to do her best with their medical and behavioral health issues while we grew up. no car, only buses and walking, as she’d get us up everyday for preschool before getting on the bus to bring herself for work. I can not tell the world how many hot meals, how many baths, how many times she’s wiped our tears, and so much more she’s done with the same hands I look at today. I’ve wanted nothing more in life but to help her! But this is a struggle as I’m in college and have no car, struggle to find lasting work, and rescued two cats who we love dearly.
