On June 4th, 2025, 11 month old Elena Certan had heart surgery. She was diagnosed at birth with tricuspid atresia. Tricuspid atresia is a rare, life-threatening congenital heart defect that occurs when the tricuspid valve doesn’t develop properly, preventing blood flow from the right atrium to the right ventricle. This results in poorly developed right heart structures, including an underdeveloped right ventricle. Her parents, David and Mirela, will be staying at the hospital for two weeks to take care of Elena and their older daughter, Alathea, during her recovery.
Being away from work and home means added costs—meals, travel, bills, and other expenses. This fundraiser is to help ease that financial burden so they can focus on caring for their daughters.
Any amount you can give is appreciated. Thank you for your support!
