Johnny has spent his life working hard as a roofer and construction worker, always providing for his family and helping those around him. He’s someone who loves fishing, gardening, and spending time with his dogs and loved ones. Recently, Johnny was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and his health has declined to the point where he can no longer work. The swelling and pain keep him from doing the things he enjoys, and he spends much of his time resting, exhausted from his illness.
This diagnosis has changed everything for Johnny and our family. He’s now facing a mountain of medical bills, medication costs, and the challenge of paying for health insurance and daily essentials like food. The stress of not being able to cover these basic needs is overwhelming, especially when he should be focusing on his health and spending time with his family. Johnny has always been there for us—if I call, he’s the first to show up, no matter what. Even now, we try to spend time together fishing, though it leaves him hurting for days afterward.
I’m raising funds to help Johnny cover his monthly bills, medical expenses, and the essentials he needs to care for himself and his four dogs. Relieving some of this financial stress will allow him to focus on his health and give us more time to make memories together. I want my kids and his great granddaughter to have more time with him, and I want Johnny to feel supported by the community he’s always given so much to.
