It is doubtful that anyone reading this has not been affected by cancer; whether, supporting a family member, a close friend or dealing with cancer personally. With a heavy heart I must share that my niece, Michele White, 39 years of age was diagnosed stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma that has been removed with surgery. Michele has undergone a double radical mastectomy and is in recovery from her surgery. Follow on treatment will include radiation and chemotherapy. This treatment regimen will require Michele to be out of work for an extensive amount of time. Michele has insurance but as everyone knows this will not cover the complete cost of treatment nor will it replace her income while battling her recovery.
With great humility and in full recognition of everyone’s own travails and day to day responsibilities, I ask for your charity. Please contribute what is possible. Truly, any contribution will help.
This solicitation addresses the reality of the cost of giving Michele a chance to recover physically and mentally but thoughts and prayers are also needed for strength and encouragement. I can only ask that you contribute to Michelle’s long journey to recovery as you are able.
