Please help Shelly Restore Her Health, Smile, and Confidence
Hi, my name is Shelly, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do — but I’m learning that strength sometimes means reaching out and asking for help.
For years, I’ve been silently battling multiple health challenges that have taken a serious toll on my teeth, my body, and my spirit. I live with rheumatoid arthritis, a painful autoimmune disease that affects my joints, immune system, and overall health. On top of that, I’m also deeply concerned about my heart health, as dental infections and untreated oral issues can increase serious heart risks, something I simply can’t ignore any longer.
To make matters even more difficult, I am a survivor of domestic violence and battery. Those years left not only emotional scars but physical damage to my teeth as well. It’s been an uphill battle trying to heal, rebuild, and reclaim my life — and now I’m at a point where I need help to take the next step forward.
Due to a combination of these health conditions, past trauma, and financial hardship, I’ve lost several teeth and am in desperate need of dental implants. This isn’t about vanity; it’s about survival. I need to be able to eat without pain, speak clearly, and smile without shame. More importantly, treating these issues is vital to protecting my overall health.
Unfortunately, dental implants are considered a cosmetic procedure by insurance companies, leaving me to shoulder the entire cost on my own. After dental consultations and treatment plans, the total needed for the extractions, bone grafting, implants, and restorative care comes to $48,500 — a number that’s far beyond my means.
I’m humbly asking for your help. Your kindness would not only help cover:
• Removal of broken and damaged teeth
• Bone grafting to repair my jaw
• Placement of safe, lasting dental implants
• Ongoing care and restoration
It would also help me regain a sense of dignity, confidence, and security that I’ve fought so hard to hold onto.
My two children mean the world to me, and it would devastate them to lose me so early in life. We’ve been through terrifying and painful experiences together! They deserve a mom that is finally happy, healthy, and that they can rely on and share their futures with.
