i am requesting financial assistance for many medical bills that my husband and I are experiencing. First, my husband had a massive stroke in December. He is still experiencing difficulties in walking and speaking and is receiving therapy weekly for this. Then in April he was diagnosed with vascular dementia and severe stenosis. We are now in the process of getting an appointment with a neurosurgeon to see if he qualifies for medicine or surgery. He may not qualify for anything. I am also ill. I have a chronic leg wound that will not heal that I have been getting treatment for over five years. I have also developed a panas (please look this up as it is hard to describe). In my groin area, my skin is splitting between the leg and the groin. I live daily with an open wound there and an open wound in the panas. The only solution will be an operation to remove the panas which is very dangerous and I could die from it. I have also been hospitalized several times this year.
With all of this we do not have enough funds to get by monthly. We live on our little social security and the medical expenses are overwhelming for us.
