Help Me Heal: Support My Spinal Fusion Surgery

Hello everyone, In the summer of 2023, my life changed in an instant and I suffered a traumatic spinal injury. I broke my neck and back — at C1, T3, T4, and T5. The C1 vertebra is the very top of the spine, responsible for supporting the skull and allowing your head to move. An injury here is incredibly serious and life-altering.

Since then, I’ve done everything I could to push through. I tried to keep working, to stay on my feet, to keep things normal. But the truth is, I’ve only been putting off the inevitable. I didn’t want to accept how serious this really was.

Recently, I was rear-ended in a car accident. That moment undid all of my efforts and my bones are misaligned. The injuries shifted, things worsened, and I could feel something was no longer right. I went to Penn Medicine Neurosurgery for a second opinion — they’re one of the top hospitals in the Country— and they confirmed what I feared: surgery is no longer optional. It’s necessary. It’s the only way to correct what’s happened and prevent further damage.

I’ve never been the type to ask for help. I’ve always worked hard to take care of myself and earn everything I have. But now, I’m facing months of recovery and time away from work. I’m scared of losing everything I’ve worked so hard for — my home, my car, my security, my peace of mind.

I’m asking for help because I don’t know where else to turn. Your support would help cover my medical bills, basic living expenses, and give me a real chance to recover without losing everything I’ve built. Anything you can give — even just sharing this — would mean more than I can put into words.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. And thank you for helping me hold on to hope.❤️

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
