Dear friends,
We are heartbroken to share the story of our nephew, Travis—a hardworking waterman from the Eastern Shore—who is now facing the unimaginable.
Travis was the victim of a senseless act of violence during the recent shooting in Centreville. He was shot in the leg and witnessed the tragic and devastating loss of his cousin Chis, who was killed right in front of him.
Travis was airlifted to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he underwent emergency surgery to repair the damage to his leg. Thanks to the fast action of his friends, first responders and the incredible medical team, Travis is now beginning the long road to recovery.
This tragedy has changed his life forever—not only physically, but emotionally. As a full-time waterman, Travis will be out of work for the foreseeable future, and the financial burden is overwhelming. We are raising funds to help cover his medical expenses, trauma care, living costs, and the long-term recovery he will need.
If you are able to donate, please know how deeply grateful we are. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the burden and show Travis he is not alone. If you can’t donate right now, please consider sharing this page to help us reach others.
We are leaning on faith, family, and the strength of this incredible community to get through this. Please keep Travis in your thoughts and prayers as he continues to heal from this unimaginable trauma.
With heartfelt thanks,
Kristie and The Lissau Family
