“I’ve had this ringing in my head for a week now — it’s driving me crazy!”
Imagine your dear friend saying this to you, and you respond…
“It’s probably stress… maybe your inner ear… just a side effect.”
You never imagine the worst —
Especially when your friend is the picture of health: strong, radiant, a leader in your yoga community.
This friend is Andreina Lefeld, the beloved owner of Beyond Poses Yoga in Seminole, Florida.
She’s cultivated more than a yoga studio — she’s built a sanctuary: a place of healing, laughter, strength, and soul.
But Andreina’s ringing in her head isn’t stress.
It is brain cancer.
Glioblastoma, IDH wild-type (WHO Grade 4) — an aggressive and devastating diagnosis.
We are all still in shock.
Her family all rushed to be by her side. Her children all take shifts at the hospital; Andrea, Sebastian, Eric, Phil and Thomas. I witnessed her hospital room transform into a celebration of love — her children and their partners, all showing up without hesitation. I saw her yoga students stepping in to help with studio chores, friends dropping everything to support her.
The love Andreina has always poured into others is now flowing back to her.
She has also been my personal cheerleader — supporting me through my own cancer journey, holding space when I needed strength.
And now I ask:
What can I do for her?
Andreina is newly single after a difficult divorce. She runs her home and her business on her own. After the divorce, she even took on another job outside the yoga studio to make ends meet.
She is a fighter.
Now, she faces an overwhelming new battle: brain surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, a long recovery — and the medical costs that come with it. She will not be able to work, let alone teach yoga, for some time.
I started this fundraiser to help lift that burden — so she can focus on healing without the added stress of medical bills or business costs. She is determined to keep the yoga studio running and to return to it when she can.
I could write a book about Andreina’s gifts:
Her honesty. Her humor. Her fierce love for her children.
Her spicy, contagious energy. Her love of the sun and ocean.
Her passion for helping others find strength, on and off the mat.
But I believe the photos on this page will show you all of that — and more.
Please donate whatever you can to help give Andreina peace of mind — by supporting her medical bills, her home, and her business while she fights this illness.
With love and gratitude,
Amy Joy
