Hello, my name is Jennifer. John and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in October of this year. We have raised a beautiful daughter together and now have an amazing granddaughter.
Unfortunately, our lives changed forever two weeks ago when John was diagnosed with stage 3 esophageal cancer.
Next week, he will start an aggressive 8-week treatment of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, followed by radiation. After the tumor shrinks, he will need to have major surgery to remove the tumor at the bottom of his esophagus. The surgery will put him in the hospital for at least 10 days and then months at home to recover. He will have to learn how to swallow and eat again.
While he recovers, he will be out of work.
As many know, cancer treatment is very expensive, and our bills will not stop just because he cannot work.
John is not the kind of man that would normally ask for help. Under these circumstances, we are going to need all the help we can get.
People ask, what can I do to help? Your donations are the answer. John can’t concentrate on healing and recovery if he’s worried about bills.
Anything you can do to help us on this journey is extremely appreciated. John WILL beat this cancer; he has no other choice. Ciara, Olivia, and I need him.
