Support Monica Thomas’s Stroke Recovery

Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be writing something like this, but my family truly needs your help.

On June 1, 2025, my mom Monica Thomas suffered a stroke that affected the left side of her brain. It’s impacted both her speech and her mobility, and while we’re holding on to hope, her recovery is uncertain and will take time.

If you know my mom, you know she’s one of the most selfless, hardworking people you’ll ever meet. She’s the kind of person who always shows up for others, no matter what she’s going through. She’s a devoted wife, the heart and soul of our family, and the glue that’s held us all together. She’s “Super Mom” to three sons and the sweetest, most loving grandmother to her granddaughter. She has always put everyone else first. In this moment of uncertainty, she deserves that same love and care poured back into her.

The past few years have already been financially difficult for my parents; some weeks they’ve barely scraped by. Now, with my mom out of work for the time being, and my dad managing health issues of his own after a recent heart surgery, things have become even more overwhelming. He’s her sole provider, Medical bills are growing quickly, and they’re trying to stay afloat on a single income while figuring everything out.

It’s loud. It’s scary. And it’s the kind of thing you never think will happen, especially not to someone so kind, so giving, so good. Someone who is such a bright light in this world.

We’re doing everything we can, but we could really use your help. Every donation (no matter how small) will go directly toward hospital bills, physical and speech therapy, and basic living expenses during her recovery. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with others. That support means more than I can ever put into words.

On behalf of my entire family, thank you—truly. Thank you for reading, for sharing, for donating, and for holding us in your thoughts & prayers. My mom is the strongest person I have ever known, and with a little help, we know she’ll fight through this and get back to her life.

With love & gratitude,

Bailey Thomas, the Thomas family, and Monica Thomas (or as I call her—Mom)

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
