Help Allie Fight a Rare Childhood Cancer Called Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML)
My name is Glenn Davis, and for nearly four years my youngest granddaughter, Allison, has bravely battled a very rare form of childhood leukemia. In May 2021, Allie was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), a devastating blood cancer virtually unheard of in children. CML is so rare in children that it accounts for only about 2% of all pediatric leukemia cases, with an annual incidence of approximately 1 in a million for children under 15.Despite everything she’s been through, Allie remains a kind and compassionate child who brings so much joy to our family. She loves playing outside with her dog, Bandit, getting lost in her favorite books, and spending Sunday afternoons with her aunt, uncle, and cousins after church. Her laughter and energy remind us every day why we’re fighting so hard to give her the future she deserves. And while advances in treatment have given many patients the ability to manage this condition long term, CML remains incurable for most and requires lifelong care. Allie has now reached a critical crossroads in her journey, and she urgently needs your help to continue her fight.
