Help Calandra Fillmore Fight Muscle Sclerosis
Hi Everyone,
As many of you know, our loved one has been courageously living and battling with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for over 15 years. Through every challenge—mobility loss, chronic pain, and constant fatigue—she has remained strong and resilient.
As a former nurse, Calandra gave an oath to take care of others. Now, Calandra’s condition has worsened significantly, and Marcus, her brother, has been her sole caregiver. He left the workforce over 8 years ago to care for her. He is committed to being by her side—overseeing her care, making critical decisions, and advocating for her every step of the way.
I’ve been doing what I can to support Marcus, who’s been showing up day after day to care for my long-time friend. Her health has taken a heartbreaking turn due to MS. He’s been carrying so much, quietly and without complaint. But the truth is—he can’t do it alone. The care she needs now is constant, specialized, and emotionally and financially demanding.
Marcus has given everything he has, and while I’ve tried to support him where I can, what he truly needs is far more than one friend can provide.
That’s why I am asking on his behalf and on the behalf of my dear friend Calandra—for help. Financial support will give him the ability to stay involved, advocate for his sister, and ensure she receives the care and dignity she deserves during this incredibly difficult time.
