To family and friends, it’s SHUNDA. As some of you may not know, sadly, I am going through kidney failure because of heart failure. Last year, I was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease, and in order to survive, I must be connected to a dialysis machine 3 to 4 times a week.
While you may think that I shouldn’t be worried if dialysis is available to keep me alive, I must tell you that dialysis is not a long-term solution. My health will continue to decline, and dialysis takes about 20 years of life from me if I stay on it. Finding a kidney from a living donor helps me with a second chance at life.
Please share my story with as many people as you like. If you or anyone you know has any questions about my situation or transplantation in general, please don’t hesitate to contact me or Kerian Parker or Dashawn Gist. Somebody may be able to help me! Thank you for taking the time to read my story ❤️
